Health Screening

Health screening aims to determine an individual’s health status. It can be invaluable in detecting potentially life-threatening illnesses and useful in tracking the benefits of any lifestyle changes that you might be planning on making.

Our health screens at Plymouth Marjon University can be tailored to your needs.

What does a health screen involve?

Questionnaires detailing lifestyle, medical history and family history form the basis of the discussion, then a review of any previous medical illness, present medical symptoms and medications is also conducted.

The health screen may then involve any of the following:

Medical and family history
Lifestyle analysis
Height, weight and body mass index
Body Composition (using Tanita Multi-Frequency Body Composition Analyser MC-180MA or Bod Pod Gold Standard)
Blood pressure and pulse
Electrocardiogram (ECG)
Blood Analysis
Full lipid profile including cholesterol
