Little Mix: we’re just like gymnasts

Little Mix have compared themselves to olympic athletes in an attempt to shut down criticism of their ‘overly sexual’ costumes on stage.

Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards fight back to criticism as they call double standards in the industry.

Speaking to attitude magazine, Nelson said “you should be able to be whatever kind of woman you want to be. You should be able to wear what you bloody want to wear and wear it with confidence.”

Bandmate Jade added that the group are proud feminists, and said “being a feminist does not mean you have to wear a polo-neck jumper and a pair of trousers. Anyone can be a feminist. Feminism is just believing in equality.”
