Mahara: Submitting your portfolio to a Moodle assignment

Why would I need to submit my Mahara e-portfolio?

Some courses require students to create and maintain Mahara portfolios e.g. as part of an assignment or for students on placement to upload evidence of their progress in meeting professional standards.  To allow tutors access to your portfolio you will be asked to either share your portfolio with a specific staff group or to submit your portfolio to a Moodle assignment. This short guide takes you through the steps required to submit your portfolio to a Moodle assignment.

How to submit you portfolio to a Moodle assignment

  1. Log into LearningSpace and go to your module page
  2. Locate and click the Moodle assignment that you need to submit your portfolio to (the icon below shows an assignment called Mahara portfolios)

  1. Click the ‘Add submission’ button
  2. Select the portfolio that you want to submit
  3. Click ‘Save changes’

What if I submit the wrong portfolio?

If you have submitted the wrong portfolio and it is before the hand in date/time:

  1. Locate and click the assignment title
  2. Click the ‘Edit submission’ button
  3. Select the portfolio you want to submit
  4. Click ‘Save changes’
