Sports podcasts

My intention is to work with short and long-distance runners once I graduated. I have found the Clinical Edge site really useful.  There are lots of podcasts on helping runners with different injuries.

I particularly enjoyed listening to L J Lee’s podcast regarding her clinical experience, analysing movement, her discussion about establishing a rapport with her clients and meaningful task therapy during the objective assessment of her clients.  She also mentions feeling the muscles and joints when clients move to gain more information regarding an injury. Her podcast reinforces the Look, Feel and Move aspects of musculoskeletal assessment:

Lots of interesting physio podcasts on various conditions can be found on The Physio Matters by Jack Chew.  The most recent session focused on Cauda Equina Syndrome with Chris Mercer

There are numerous useful podcasts published by the British Journal of Sports Medicine

I particularly enjoyed Chris Bramah’s podcast regarding his research for his PhD on running Biomechanics
