For my placement in year 2, I would love to be able to do pitch side for a rugby team. I have looked at a few teams that are in need of a pitch side assistant. Below is a few of the teams I would like to be pitch side with:
Plymstock Albion Oaks RFC
Devonport Services RFC
Saltash RFC
I love rugby and would love to be able to do pitch side for a premiership side like Gloucester (the team I support), being able to go on placement and gain experience with any of these teams would not only further my knowledge of sports therapy it will give me confidence with my pitch side efforts.
With rugby you could get any kind of injury as it is basically an all body sport, this would also help with experiences of different injuries which would allow me to transfer those skills into a different sport.
