My name is Scarlet Price. I come from a background of sports enthusiasts, one of which is currently competing at a high level, representing England at an international level in Golf. I have shared this passion for sport which has influenced my activities from a young age and had an impact on my decisions regarding my future career. Over the years I have developed an interest in women’s football and I am happy to finally be able to say that women’s football is becoming increasingly popular and being publicised more.
I am currently a first year student at Plymouth Marjon University studying BA Sport Development which provides me with the opportunity to study specialist modules, for example, sport pedagogy. I have always had a passion for sport and I chose to study the course I am on with the intention of pursuing a career in PE teaching.
When I finish my 3 years I intend to apply to do a PGCE for a year. I have the motivation to work to become a qualified secondary PE teacher. Physical Education plays a big role in developing a child and can tackle diseases, for example, childhood obesity and I want to be able to contribute and make a difference.
