Agility Training
Agility Training is a very beneficial way of training athletes to improve speed in certain movements, and will also have an effect on the quickness of an athlete. Agility has previously been linked with rate of force development and also improving mental quickness. Agility generally consists of acceleration, deceleration and speed in different directions by different movement types. Although agility training is likely to improve an athlete’s ability to move quicker, the correct technique has to be followed to achieve optimum performance.

Agility is arguably one of the most important aspects of an athletes physical attributes, and due to this agility training is commonly used amongst footballers. Agility can improve acceleration, speed, power and footwork.
