This session was undertaken in the Marjon Sports Therapy Clinic for 1 hour, the client had tight hamstrings.
Within this session, I performed a soft tissue massage on the hamstrings for 15 minutes each. Following this, I performed the muscular energy technique PIR to stretch the hamstrings. I performed the PIR 4 times per side, ensuring I frequently asked the VAS score.
Areas for Improvement
The client I was treating within this session was very muscly, and when performing petrissage, the pressure was stated to be not enough.
What can I do next?
Take into account how muscly the patient is, and if appropriate, begin using your knuckles, as opposed to tiring your thumbs out.
