About me

untitledWelcome to my website!

I’m Beth Evans. and I am here to give you an idea about why strength and conditioning can be important within sport!

I am on the BSc Sports Therapy degree, and use strength and conditioning as part of injury prevention and rehabilitation for each client I see! This means that a client can get back to optimum health and fitness as soon as possible. In general, a sports therapist provides immediate and long term care of injuries, by assessing, treating and preventing any issue a client may have.

It is widely thought  that Strength and Conditioning is all about being as strong and lifting as many weights as possible, but this could not be more wrong! Strength and Conditioning includes an intire range of exercises that is needed to develop an individuals physical performance, depending on which sport they play, and to what level they are playing that sport at. Therefore, a Strength and Conditioning programme should include plyometrics, speed, agility, endurance, power, and core. The role of a strength and conditioning coach is to therefore incorporate all of these, to create a faster, stronger, more flexibile athlete, who is less likely to become injured within the future.

This website includes Plyometric and Agility exercise videos, including several coaching points for the exercise, and an article describing the importance of Unilateral and Bilateral training in high performance athletes.

Enjoy!
