In this hour we took turn practising our sports massage techniques. We focused on effleurage techniques where we used light stokes to allow us to warm up the muscles, and to increase blood flow. Followed by petrissage techniques such as kneading, picking up, deep frictions and wringing. MET’s were practised on each other and active, passive and resistance movement.

Towel techniques were practice and identifying how and what to stretch for each muscle. The oxford scale was looked at and we took turns to practise identifying the scores.
