Donald’s Drama crisis

Donald Trump’s right-hand man and personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani was once one of the most respected individuals in the United States. Following the September 11th attacks, as the mayor of New York, he galvanized a broken city and gave hope to millions. Now, however, he’s become the face of Trump’s election denial circus. Whether you’re a fan of Donald or not, you can’t help but feel frustrated at the lack of respect for the electorate and the democratic process in the USA.

Rudy has been one of the President’s closest allies in recent year’s but now, despite his unwavering support for Trump and Trumpism in general, even he’s been called into question. The US leader has expressed his worry about his attorneys, led by Mr.Giuliani. According to an NBC News source, the Commander-in-Chief stated that he’s worried his legal team is comprised of “fools” whose bizarre press conference antics are “making him look bad”.

All this follows a weekend of drama for the Republican party. On Saturday a federal appeals court in Pennsylvania has thrown out the election lawsuit, claiming no evidence of election fraud was given, nor was there any genuine allegations made. This defeat looks like the final nail in the coffin of Trump’s already battered 2020 election hopes.

Also, the legal team has made it clear that attorney and QAnon supporter Sidney Powell is not part of their campaign or in any way involved in the President’s inner circle. This comes after, last Thursday’s strange press conference at the Republican National Committee Headquarters in Washington, where she boldly accused the Democrats had “paid” to rig the election.

With all this upheaval, is this the end of Donald Trump’s grip on the United States? Or will we see a resurrection in 2024 should he decide to run for President again? The Republican Party knows that a huge percentage of their following has adopted a ‘cult-like’ following of Trump and Trumpism, so it comes down to the soon to be former President of the United States on whether he attempts the come-back in the next election.
