Bel-esprit

Definition:
A person of great wit or intellect
When I first encountered this word a few weeks ago, it struck me that we all probably know (or at least would like to know) someone who could be described as a bel-esprit. And the first person who sprang to my mind was Mike! It seems to me that Mike is an oracle filled with the knowledge and know-how we’re all aiming to acquire on this course, and I thought the word fitted him perfectly. I’m sure there will be others who disagree…..?!
