Chameleons Hair Salon lead the way with their new pay-it-forward scheme

Acts of kindness are trending throughout Plymouth and a local hairdresser business in Plymstock is leading the way with its new pay-it-forwards scheme.

Chameleons Hair and scalp Trichology clinic is a professional salon based in Plymstock. With Qualified stylists, the business pride itself in offering its services to cater for everyone’s needs.

Being sensitive to everyone’s individual requirements is something the team at Chameleons can proudly say they are. They run a trichology clinic along the side of the hair salon to aid those with hair loss and skin conditions. This shows the experience they have to be sensitive towards people with different backgrounds and situations.

Due to the cost of living crisis Chameleons hair salon is providing a scheme to simply pay what you can afford for any appointment across their cut and blowdry services. Rebecca Hart, a level 2 stylist at this salon will be responsible for all hair consultations related to this scheme.

“I would like as many people as possible, that really want to have their hair cut, that can't afford it to come to have their cut so we can make them look and feel wonderful” - Teresa Wood, senior hairstylist

With the economy struggling and Christmas just around the corner, this scheme has been implemented as an act of kindness. The process is as simple as booking for a cut and blow dry and turning up.

The client will be treated the same as anyone else and nobody else in the salon will know that they are on the act of kindness scheme except themselves and their stylist. If you choose to be a part of this act of kindness, you will get to the till and pay what you can; no questions asked.

“We pride ourselves in Offering a first class and professional service in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. We cater for all of your hair requirements, and whether it’s your first time visiting us or you are a returning client, we will always ensure that you are given a personalised hair service.”

Alternatively, Chameleons hair salon is taking payments from those who wish to pay for an appointment for someone else or contribute to the pay-it-forward service. Currently, there have been three acts of kindness payments, and already three different people booked in using this newly implemented scheme.
