Getting here

Plymouth Marjon University is located in Derriford, just a few miles north of Plymouth in beautiful South West England. To find out how to get here by road and rail click here.

What to do on arrival

Arrival this year will look slightly different. You will be contacted closer to arrival with instructions and guidance on when your arrival will be and what to do. Keep a close eye out for communications surrounding your arrival in your email and through our other communication channels including the Marjon University Facebook page.

Collecting your University Card

During registration students will be issued with their University Card. You will need your card to use the Library’s services and facilities and to use the University’s multi-functional devices to print, photocopy and scan.

By registering you will also trigger your student funding (where eligible). Any problems with student funding, contact studentsupport@marjon.ac.uk

Bringing personal IT devices to University

Wireless Internet access is available across the campus and you can connect most devices such as laptops, tablets and smartphones.

Click here for information about connecting to the campus WiFi.

By becoming a Marjon student you will be eligible to download Microsoft Office for FREE! When you go to the Microsoft login page here https://login.microsoftonline.com/ you will need to put your email address studentnumber@marjon.ac.uk to tell Microsoft you are a Marjon student and they will redirect you to our specific Plymouth Marjon University login page for Office 365.

Registering with a doctor

Registering with a GP surgery is really important, especially if you have moved away from home. There are various surgeries around and you can find out more by visiting the NHS website.

At Marjon we have a close working relationship with Elm Surgery who often offer their registration services during induction.

International Students should click here and here to find out more.

Meningitis

New students are advised to take up the offer of the Meningitis ACWY vaccination when offered by their GP before starting university, and to register with a new GP on arrival at University (for new entrants who have moved away from their previous area of residence) just follow this link to register with a local health centre.

Further information about Meningitis can be found here and here
