22nd Clinical Reflection Total Hour 26

Date Location Total Amount of Hours Overview of Session
26/03/2019 Commercial Clinic 1 One hour in commercial clinic and did a hamstring massage.
Reflective Summary                   Areas for further Improvement plus action plan
The client explained of an sore pain in their hamstring and this was due to a collision in rugby and their hamstring rubbed against the surface and the pain of the injury on the right hamstring is a VAS of 6/10. 45 min of effleurage and petrissage as applying MET at the hamstring to release trigger instead of massage due to the client having some burns of part of their hamstring.

Showed good use of my anatomy as the assessor told me to name the different muscles in the hamstring and could name and locate the 3 muscles in the hamstring.

MET could improve as applied too much resistance on the hamstring stretch as you should only apply 30-40% of the pressure on the client.

Further improve on my MET by applying the appropriate amount of resistance to the client.

Will do this by practising the MET and seeing how much resistance to apply to the client.

Returning to reflections at a later date
27/03/2019- Practised the resistance on the stretch and learned the correct amount of pressure to apply to the client.
