Hip Mobility

WHY MOBILISE?

Why do we need mobile hips? In the case of many sports the hips are the first point of call for the body as everything goes through the hips. Therefore the more mobile the hips are the less chance of the athlete overreaching into certain positions that could cause injuries. In the case of Olympic weightlifting the athlete must get into extremely low positions and be able to hold an external load above head, or on the shoulders adding more pressure to the system.
