We all learn and study differently. Some of us like to be night owls, working through the night, whilst others like to work in the daylight, the sun acting as a comforting friend.

Well, here is some exciting news! The Marjon library is now accessible 24/7, giving you more time to use the resources and study spaces at your convenience. Our staffed hours are 9 am to 7 pm on weekdays and 11 am to 4 pm on weekends. If you’d like any support, then you should visit or contact us during staffed hours or use our extensive guidance on MyMarjon.

But what exactly does the library at Marjon have to offer? 📚

The library is a welcoming and calm space, with a great range of resources available to support your studies. From the moment you walk through the door, you’ll be greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who are there to help you make the most of your time in the library.

The library is a hub of activity on campus, with plenty of spaces for individual and group study. Whether you prefer to work in a quiet area or a more social space, you’ll find something that suits your needs here. There are also plenty of PCs and laptops available for you to use, as well as printing, scanning and copying facilities.

Inside the library at Marjon

We have a fantastic collection of over 170,000 physical and digital books, journals and other resources at your fingertips to support your learning. Whether you’re studying English literature, history, sports science, or any other subject, you’re sure to find something that will help you deepen your understanding and broaden your knowledge. But the library doesn’t just have physical books. In fact, the library has a wide range of electronic resources, including e-books, e-journals, and databases. These are available 24/7 and can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection. So even if you’re not on campus, you can still make use of the library’s resources.

The library also offers a range of workshops and training sessions through the AIM (Aquire, Improve, Master), to help you develop your research and study skills. These are designed to help you get the most out of the library’s resources and to support you in achieving your academic goals.

And now the library is accessible 24/7 so you can now use the library at any time of the day or night that suits you best. To gain access outside of staffed hours, all you need is the keypad code, which you can find on the library website. Remember to keep this code to yourself, as it is for Marjon students and staff only. And don’t forget to bring your ID card as it is required to borrow books from the self-service machines.

Library staff will still be available during staffed hours to assist you with any queries or support you may need. You can also refer to the extensive guidance available on MyMarjon. Out-of-hours services such as inter-library loans, lost property, and ID cards can be arranged by contacting libraryenquiries@marjon.ac.uk during staffed hours.

It is important to be considerate of other users, keep the spaces clean and tidy, and adhere to library policies. Security will be available outside of staffed hours to ensure the safety of everyone on campus, so please follow their advice and treat them with respect.

We are keen to hear your thoughts on this exciting development, so feel free to leave your comments and feedback below or through Chatback. Make the most of this opportunity to access the resources and study spaces at Plymouth Marjon University Library at any time of the day or night!
