Marjon climbs league tables in British Universities & Colleges Sport competitions
Marjon is renowned throughout the Southwest for its sport and achievements, and each year, the University takes part in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) competitions.
This year, the Marjon teams have been working hard and had great successes:
π Womenβs Basketball WIN β Western 2A league & Western Conference Cup championships
π Menβs Football WIN β Western Conference Trophy
π Surfing GOLD β Emily Currie won the BUCS Surfing Championship
π₯ Wheelchair Basketball β Our newly-formed team came in at no.2 in their very first season
π₯ Womenβs Rugby β The team finished at no.2 in their league
π₯ Menβs Football β Two of our teams finished at no.2 in their leagues
π₯ Powerlifting β Petr Stefan came in at no.3
All the athletes contributed to a successful finish to the season, making Marjon climb eight places in the BUCS ranking since the last academic year.

Our team sports hold a special place in our hearts, and we have established numerous partnerships and continue to foster new ones, solidifying our commitment to team athletics. Additionally, our support extends beyond team endeavours, encompassing individual athletes who excel in various disciplines. By promoting sporting excellence across a diverse spectrum, we proudly showcase the Marjon name in locations that may otherwise remain uncharted.
We have first-class facilities used by world-class athletes and Olympians in our Sport & Health Centre. Amongst our burgeoning sport education offer, we deliver sport clubs, societies, and celebrations through our vibrant and inclusive student union.
