Micomingles is an unprecedented move towards fostering entrepreneurial growth and inclusivity.
Plymouth is set to launch a groundbreaking business support programme, “Micromingles,” targeting start-ups, pre-start-ups, micro-enterprises, sole traders, SMEs, and individuals from harder-to-reach communities, including BAME. Developed in collaboration with key partners Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce, Diversity Business Incubator (DBI), Micronomy, and Blue Illustrates, Micromingles is poised to become the hallmark event for business synergy and community empowerment.
Micromingles is not just an event; it’s a dynamic initiative that transcends traditional business networking. It is designed to provide a supportive platform where businesses of all sizes, from pre-start-ups and micro start-ups to established SMEs, can come together to share success stories, address challenges collectively, and build a resilient community spirit.
The first event will be held on 24 April from 5 pm to 6.30 pm at Café Momus in Plymouth. Promising an evening of connection, collaboration, and celebration, symbolising the launch of this transformative programme that welcomes everyone to the table, regardless of the size of their enterprise or available funds.
Stuart Elford, CEO of Devon & Plymouth Chamber said: “The Chamber has been providing business support to our members for the last 210 years and to ensure that we continue to do that we want to support and inspire the next generation of businesses and help them grow from idea to inception and beyond. We particularly wanted to reach out to underrepresented communities and so asked our friends at Diversity Business Incubator, Micronomy and Blue Illustrates to partner with us to deliver an innovative, inclusive and welcoming programme of support.”
