I am currently a third year BSc. Sports Therapy student, in Devon. My background in sports stems from an early age, participating at County level in a number of sports, including football, golf and more recently athletics. This passion for sport has been the driving force behind wanting to learn how to improve and develop people’s performance and their general health, which has so far secured me a Foundation Degree in Sport and Exercise Science. I also possess the following additional qualifications: Level 2 Gym Instructor; Level 3 Sports Massage; Level 1 and 2 ‘Rocktape and Mobilisation’ training, as well as being a qualified Endurance Distance coach in athletics.
I am currently a member of the Sports Medicine team for a professional football club and have been for a number of years. In addition, I was also a sports scientist and one of the medical personnel in the club’s EPPP category 3 status academy, until its closure in 2015. This provided me with both ‘pitchside’ and ‘clinic’ experience of treating injuries sustained during training or competitive matches.
My qualifications, training and experience has enabled me to deliver private consultations at home or the workplace, whichever is more convenient. I can provide a full assessment during an initial consultation, before any treatment or rehabilitation starts. I am able to diagnosis and treat Lower and Upper limb musculoskeletal issues or injuries. The treatment you will receive will be based on a comprehensive program for rehabilitation, enabling you to return to health or physical fitness at the same or increased level pre-injury.Other services that I can accommodate are ‘pitchside’ support up to ‘Elite Level’, as I hold an IFAS qualification, which will be upgraded to an AREA Level First Aid in the coming months, alongside a current DBS check.
