About me

I’m currently in my first year of study at St Mark and St john university in Plymouth studying sports therapy.  Right now I’m 21 which sent usually the age of a first year but I have had a different path than most first years. At the age of 16-19 I attended a City of London Academy sixth form I attended this sixth form solely for the purpose of that it was connected to a basketball academy. during the next three years I would go on to achieve a range of awards due to my play and performance.

During my second year at the basketball academy I unfortunately tore my anterior cruciate ligament this was a very difficult time in my life as I have never suffered a serious injury before that point especially on as serious as an acl. during the next year and a half, I spent time rehabbing this injury pre paring for surgery and rehabbing after surgery. My rehab process was done with sports therapies at the academy as well as physio therapist. This is where I got my passion for sports therapy or and rehabilitation sports based interest from.

When I left my academy at 19 I next attended the University of Bedfordshire where I studied Sports Studies as well as playing basketball for the university and returning to the senior men’s national league competition playing for Ipswich Basketball club. This year was difficult for me as I was returning to sport after a year and a half away from basketball as well as adjusting to university life. During this year I continued with my rehab proceed as I felt like I wasn’t as athletic and agile as I once was.

After that year I moved to my current university and begin my first year studying sports therapy during this year I also had my professional debut in the BBL playing for the Plymouth Raiders Basketball club. This was a big achievement for me as I finally entered the professional ranks and this was after my struggle through and injury and rehab. During my first year as a Plymouth raider we as a team achieve making the playoffs for the first time 7 years as well as beating the number one ranks team in the playoffs to reach the semi-final.

My ambitions for the future are to continue to grow within my sport and have a successful time in the bbl. and overseas if possible also to have the ability to play for a national team and represent y country in an international competition.  I also want to help Marjon move into the south premier division for Bucs basketball as well as go undefeated for our second season in a row completing the treble of league title, cup title and varsity win.
