Derek Adam men got there second win of the season against a struggling Gillingham side. After Saturday’s disappointing performance and Adams criticising the fans “Yobbish” behaviour. They needed a big response and the players delivered to lift them off the bottom of the table.
The first 20 minutes was a cagy start with both teams not wanting to make a mistake. Then on the 20thminute Ladapo hit a powerful shot into the top corner which fired up the crowd. Then 15 minutes later Argyle doubled their lead when Graham Carey floated in a cross and Ladapo brilliantly headed in to give them some breathing space.
Derek Adams who has been getting some stick from the Plymouth argyle supporters brought on Ruben Lamerias and within 3 minutes his name was on the scoresheet after beating his man and putting the ball into the bottom corner.
Gillingham replied 15 minutes before the end but was nothing more than a consolation goal and Argyle hold on and took some pressure of the manager.
