FC Kobenhavn Stun Manchester United
FC Kobenhavn played out a shocking 4-3 victory in the Champions League against a lacklustre Manchester United side. The Danish side fought hard in front of 36,000 ecstatic home fans in the Parken Stadium.
United were 2-0 up after goals from Rasmus Hojlund in the 3rd and 28th, ensured a comfortable lead. However, it wasn’t so plain sailing from then on, as Manchester winger Marcus Rashford was sent off through a controversial VAR decision, due to an incident involving the Englishman was deemed to be dangerous.
Manchester Utd manager Erik Ten Hag explains that the team is “very disappointed” with the result and said that “Even with 10 men we were dictating the game and we played very good”.
The team now sit bottom of group A in the Champions League and will need to beat Galatasaray in Turkey, and hope they get any points against Bayern Munich, to have a chance getting through to the knockout stages.
