Sarina Weigman believes Beth Mead has “shown enough” to earn a recall to the England squad for their final Nations League fixtures.
Weigman speaks during a press conference after England are yet to win after losing their last three games, the next two must be wins only.
She said: “We’ve had many conversations during September camp, recently had a good phone call which she is happy and in a good place.
“Beth has shown enough to the technical staff and is a good character that brings positive energy on and off the pitch.”
“The last result was not a true reflection on how we were in camp”. “We need to be better in the moments of the game, which we said in the final third we create a lot of chances but we want to be more ruthless.”
It is a welcome return to the international fold for the international fold for the 28-year-old Arsenal forward, who resumed club action last month after suffering an ACL injury last November and has now earned an England call-up for the first time in over a year.
