How a new United can look under Ruben Amorim

As The Red Devils look to a new chapter under new management sees a lot of changes on and off the pitch as Ex-Sporting Lisbon boss looks to implement a new formation and system as training footage comes out ahead of the start of the Premier League season.

Ruben Amorim will look to use a 3-4-3 system with three Centre-Backs, two Wing-Backs, two Defensive midfielders, two Attacking midfielders and just the one Striker. From the international break footage, it seemed to be that Brazilian winger Antony will be converted to a Right-Wing-Back and English Winger, Marcus Rashford will convert to a lone Striker. These two players will most probably not be featured in the main 11 on a Premier League matchday but this may show how he will convert wingers in the future.

This may be shown at full strength when they face Ipswich town this Sunday in the top flight, in an interview Amorim said “We know that we need time,” this might mean that the players might need time to adjust to the new system.

With the new look being a three Centre-Back system, this brings in more spaces in the starting line-up for a new player in the back-line, fans are speculating that this player might be Leny Yoro who signed for The Red Devils from Lile in July 2024 for £50million, this was after he played 46 games and scored 2 goals for the French club in which he graduated from their academy in 2022.

This could also see more rotation in the squad for the Centre-Defensive-Midfielders with Mainoo and Casemiro looking to be the main Pivot players with Ugarte being one of the rotations as a Pivot.
