The Gunners claimed a fourth successive victory last night as they beat old rivals Manchester United 2-0. However, the key talking point was the corners which led to both goals, making it seven for the season from corners and the most in the Premier League. This has caused pundits to name them the “new Stoke City”, but is that justified?

Plymouth Argyle chairman Simon Hallett has told Argyle fans that an investment deal is close. In a recent Fans Forum in Cornwall, Hallett told the fans that the EFL are currently undergoing their Fit and Proper test with potential investors. Hallet said that he’s ‘on the verge of being able to come public with something.’

Everton defeat Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0 in the Premier League. This is the first time the Toffees have scored four goals at home since 2020. Ashley Young ends Everton’s goal draught by scoring a free-kick and making it his 50th Premier League goal in his career. Everton’s second goal came from Belgium midfielder Mangala scoring his first goal for the club. Everton’s last two goals came from Wolves defender Craig Dawson scoring two own goals on his 300th career appearance.

Last night saw Arsenal defeat Manchester United 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium. The result secured Arsenal’s fourth consecutive victory over their storied rivals, cementing their strong position in the Premier League title race this season. Man United put up a good fight throughout the game but it wasn’t enough to overcome Arteta’s men who are in great form at the moment.
