Plymouth Argyle host mid-table Swansea City tonight at Home Park. Both teams are looking to bounce back following poor form in their previous five games.
Argyle currently sit 22nd in the Championship, struggling to find form with just one win in their last five, and suffering heavy defeats against Norwich and Bristol City.
The Swans are also struggling to find form, only winning one in their last 5. However they should come into the game feeling confident, achieving two draws in their last two games.
Tonight’s game could see a handful of goals, with Rooney’s squad scoring an average of 1.05 goals per game.
Swansea’s average sits just higher at 1.10 goals per game. They might find some more goals tonight though, as Plymouth Argyle concede an average of two goals a game.
In preparation for tonight’s match, Rooney said: “We’ve had longer to work on Swansea than we [normally] would have. We’re ready for the game.”
Expect a highly contested match tonight between two teams, fighting for more consistent results.
