Everton have sacked their manager Sean Dyche hours before their cup tie against Peterborough.
The club has announced that under 18s head coach Leighton Bains and full back club captain Seamus Coleman will take charge of this FA Cup fixture.
In the Premier League the Toffees have only won one of their last 11 games and are currently placed 16th, one point away from the relegation zone.
Sean Dyche took charge of the club back in January 2023 and have kept them away from being relegated twice. New owner The Fredkin Group were already assessing Dyches future and after losing 1-0 to Bournemouth increased the tension between the two.
Everton are yet to confirm a new replacement manager, but names such as former Everton manager David Moyes has been linked with the job. Fenerbahçe manager José Mourinho has now been ruled out of the position according to sources.
Everton’s next fixture will take place on Wednesday 15th of January against Aston Villa at Goodison Park.
