Sheffield United have confirmed the signing of experienced striker Patrick Bamford on a short-term contract until January.
The striker had scored 134 goals in 414 professional games across eight different English clubs mostly in the second division.
Bamford had been a free agent since leaving Leeds United in the summer after spending seven years at the club where he gained wealthy premier league and championship experience and even earned an England call up.
The Blades were sitting in the championship relegation zone on 10 points, 3 points off safety. United hope that the 32-year-old could bolster attacking options to help revive a disappointing start to the campaign.
