Prince William arrived in the Duchy today to make good on his promise to improve rural roads by helping Mousehole Football Club solve their persistent pothole problem.
Locals reported extensive vehicle damages along the previous road with one community member telling The Cornish Times “Ive lost six or seven tyres in the last few years”.
The road used to create heavy congestion, resulting in a logistical headache for drivers and made travel to and from the AFC almost impossible.
The Duke served as the honorary opener joined by the local community to celebrate the new transport link to the football club.
The Prince of Wales personally supported the small community football club by collaborating with building materials group CRH in order to create a lasting solution to the continious pothole problems.
The improved route will help to bring new opportunities to the club allowing for more social and sporting events to be held there.
