England manager Thomas Tuchel says he isn’t afraid of making “tough calls” and leaving big names out of his World Cup squad.
Tuchel also then spoke about how he can’t take all of the number 10s that he has been previously using within his first eight matches to the World Cup such as Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Morgan Rodgers, Morgan Gibbs-White and Cole Palmer which was all listed off by the England manger.
Tuchel said that his selections are based on form and pedigree and even though there will be a lot of big decisions that he will need to make he will not ignore England’s experienced players, who have played in big tournaments and been in high pressured moments for their national team in the past. However Tuchels messages haven’t been aimed to any individuals within the England setup its just a whole warning to the team that if they don’t step up, in their upcoming game such as their home game against Serbia and there last word cup qualifying game away from home to Albania. They will not be stepping onto the plane next summer.
Two players that could see themselves being picked for the world cup squad is Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa and Nottingham Forrests midfielder Anderson. In Tuchel’s recent interview where he was talking about the World Cup selection he praised the duo for the impact that the two players are making within the England squad. He stated that Anderson is “one of the best midfielders in the premier league and that he is a key player for us” and that Rogers has “played fantastic for us in this position.”

Great story Mark!
