Manchester United Fan shares his opinion on team’s questionable start

I think it’s fair to say Manchester United fans have not had the easiest past few years supporting their team, once challenging for every trophy per season to not even being involved in any European football.

The 13-time Premier League winners and called ‘biggest club in the world’ by some have not lived up to expectations in years with the club struggling to see the old days under Legend Sir Alex Ferguson.

Supporter Mason Marchant, whose been following united since the age of 3 is questioned on United’s start to the season, he said “it’s been okay, but it could improve” which most of supporters could agree with. Mason goes onto talk about the teams unbeaten 5-game streak and says “the current streak is good with some easier games coming up, we’ve played hard teams such as Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea”

Current United boss Ruben Amorim has been under serious pressure at times since being appointed in November 2024. The Portuguese coach has a win percentage of 38.18% after only winning 21 matches out of a possible 55 which gives him the worst managerial record out of anyone who achieved 50 game post Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Mason said, “I like him, fans like him at first he was a bit hesitant with his tactics, and I feel like he now has the players he wanted”. “On last season it wasn’t good enough even if we got to a European final”. Fans obviously want Amorim in charge and hope he can bring major success back to the Premier League giants.
