Norris overcame a 34 point deficit in the last 9 races to take the crown from Piastri as well as surviving a second-half of the season surge from Verstappen to win his maiden title.

The emotions came over the Brit immediately after crossing the line, as he took to the radio to thank his team for all their hard work. Norris said “I love you guys. I love you mum. I love you dad. Thanks for everything and i’m not crying”.
