“It’s Always Luke Versus Luke” Darts Fans Place Predictions For World Championship

In preparation for the first night of the World Championship, Marjon students Fin and Kian set their predictions for the tournament.

Kian,18, said: ‘I feel like he can go all the way, he’s got the Ally Pally crowd behind him, and he is a fan favourite, obviously, so many titles this year. Back-to-back in a couple of event wins, I would back him to do the same again.’

Luke Littler would be the first champ to go back-to-back since Gary Anderson 10 years ago, going into the tournament as the odds favourite.

Fin, 18, said: ‘It’s always Luke v Luke, it seems like every final has the same outcome. Most of the PDC players are incredibly talented, but these two are head and shoulders above the rest. I don’t see any difference this year.’

Both the World Grand Prix and the Grand Slam of Darts were headlined by the pairing, and both will aspire to go all the way.

Luke Littler is in action tonight against Darius Labanauskas in the first round of the tournament.
