Newcastle are out of the Champions League. The Magpies lost 2-1 to Italian side Milan, after going 1-0 up, in the first half. Local Geordies left devastated after the result, sending them out of the European competition.
This was Newcastle’s first time in the Champions League in 20 years, after switching to the new Saudi owners due to Mike Ashley selling the club.
Manager Eddie Howe has come in and done a very good job, ever since taking the job. The Englishman got Newcastle up to 4th place, qualifying them for the Champions League this season. Even though they are out the competition, Newcastle can now focus on the league and go for a top four finish.
