As we near Christmas time and we’ve had some great moments in the premier league so far, we wanted to hear from the public on how they are finding the 25-26 season at the moment, we also wanted to hear their hot takes and who they think have surprised them in the league. Young premier league follower Jack Llewellyn shared his thoughts with us recently, he believes Sunderland have surprised him the most considering they came from the championship only last season and were expected to struggle. We think that a lot of premier league watchers weren’t expecting this, but Sunderland had made some vital summer signings before starting the season, and with Granit Xhaka being one of their best signings, the team looked strong. Jack also stated that he thinks Sunderland would be able to finish mid-table minimum if they carry on the momentum that they’ve started with.
Jack had a take which is likely to be heavily agreed on, he believes Arsenal will lift the trophy at the end of the season based on how well they’re doing and how strong their signings have been this season. One player that has been doing well for them so far has been Eberechi Eze, just 2 days ago in the North London Derby he had put on a world class performance, scoring a hattrick in his first Derby. Some would say it’s impossible to do it in the first game due to the pressure, but clearly Eze didn’t have any weight on his shoulders when he put 3 goals in Tottenham’s net. Jack believes with the way that Arsenal have been playing so far and how strong their squad is, they could take this season easily.
However Jack didn’t stay on Arsenal when we asked him for his favourite player this season, in fact he transferred over to Bournemouth’s sensation Antoine Semenyo. He believes a lot of premier league clubs will try and snatch him up in January as his contract is running down. He has a release clause of around £60m, which is cheap for a player of his calibre, top premier league teams like arsenal, spurs, manchester united and liverpool are all keeping eyes on him, as they believe he would give them the edge for the rest of the premier league season.
