It’s that time of the year when listeners look back at their yearly therapy session, their Spotify Wrapped.
However, this year again sparked more controversy over how accurate users’ roundup is.
While there isn’t any of the AI themes from last year, users took to TikTok crashing out over their Artist, Album and Song of the Year.
I know my wrapped was incorrect, Taylor Swift being number two on my top artists, even though I barely listened to her all year. That was wrong. Also, the fact that she was ahead of Sabrina Carpenter and Tate McRae was even more of a crime.
As well as this, users also found that songs which were not their vibe were also on their top 5 most listened to songs of the year. This has resulted in many users purposefully changing their Spotify Wrapped before posting it online, so it matches their energy.
Compared to last year, this year’s Wrapped was low-key okay, but we can all agree that Spotify need to have a glow up when it comes to their 2026 Wrapped.
