Listed below are the different Halls of Residence options and what facilities they have. All of our flats are contain shared kitchen-diner facilities, equipped with fridges, freezers, a microwave, kettle, oven and hob. Each flat also comes equipped with cleaning equipment and ironing board but you will need to bring your own iron.
Hudson, Cromwell and Clark
Hudson, Cromwell and Clark are the three biggest halls of residence. Each hall contains six flats each of 9 bedrooms. Flats in these halls are single-sex and are served by three shower rooms and two WCs.
Coleridge, Tufnell and Kay-Shuttleworth
Coleridge, Tufnell and Kay-Shuttleworth all have a mix of 12 standard rooms and 20 en-suite rooms. These are separated into six bed, single-sex flats for the standard room option and five bed, mixed flats for those with en-suite facilities. Standard flats have three shower rooms and three WCs with a hand basin, bedrooms also have a hand basin and vanity unit with a mirror. En-suite rooms include a shower, hand basin, WC and mirror.
Dix
Dix has 36 standard bedrooms grouped into six bedroom, mixed gender flats. Two of these bedrooms are purpose built en-suite wet rooms for students with reduced mobility. The ground floor flats have two separate shower rooms with shower, WC and hand basin. Second and third floor flats have three shower rooms with shower, WC and hand basin. In addition, all standard rooms have a hand basin with a vanity unit and mirror.

En-Suite rooms and mobility bedrooms with wet room: £115 per week
Student Village
The Village is a small, residential area on campus made up of 38 houses. It is surrounded by greenery and popular with returning and top-up students.

Village Houses
The village has a mix of five, four and three bed houses, in addition we also have two bedrooms with purpose-built en suite wet rooms for students with impaired mobility. All bedrooms are single occupancy and come equipped with a single bed, mattress, mattress cover, bedside cabinet, wardrobe, desk, office chair, noticeboard, waste bin and blackout blind.
The houses have a homely feel, fitted with a kitchen-diner which is perfect for cooking and sharing meals together. The shared kitchens are kitted out with a kettle, fridges, freezers, a microwave, a cooker and a toaster. A washing machine is also provided in all of the houses.

The Oaks
The Oaks is a recently refurbished six double-bedroom house specifically for postgraduate and PHD students.

The Oaks
This recently refurbished house provides privacy, comfort and luxury for our postgraduate and PHD students. The accommodation comprises six bedrooms each with a double bed, mattress, mattress cover, bedside cabinet, bedside lamp, large wardrobe, desk, office chair, blackout blind and full length mirror.
Bathrooms in the property are shared and include two showers, one bath and three WCs. There is a large kitchen kitted out with a kettle, American fridge freezer and additional fridges, freezers, a microwave, a range cooker and a toaster. There is a large lounge/diner which is shared between occupants, perfect for relaxing!
Prices
The cost is £140 to £145 per week and flexible contracts are offered. Contact info@marjon.ac.uk to express your interest.

How to Apply
Applications for accommodation opened on 1st January 2021, you can find the application form here. Rooms will be allocated on an ongoing basis so early applications are preferable so that you have the best chance of getting the accommodation of your choice

Contracts
The accommodation contract runs for 42 weeks from September to July, inclusive of Christmas and Easter breaks. You’ll be on a fixed-term contract and cancellations can only be made in extenuating circumstances, or if you can find a suitable replacement to take on your tenancy. You are welcome to stay during the holidays if you wish, but if you do go away you will still be required to pay for your accommodation.
Payments
You pay the University direct for your accommodation in full or in instalments:
- 18 weeks due September, 12 weeks due January and 12 weeks due April (in-line with payments of grants and loans from the Student Loan Company)
- A parent, guardian or other can pay on your behalf via standing order of eight payments, the first due in September then on the 1st of each month from November to May.
Dining-in-scheme
The dining-in card is obligatory for all first year students living on campus. It offers the benefit of being able to spend on your card in the various eating places on campus including the Hub Restaurant, the shop, the Grandstand and much more. The cost of the card is £820 which is added to your accommodation and invoiced so payments form part of the payment plan. This means that you can still get a wholesome cooked meal, even if you have spent your loan! More information can be found here.
N.B. Tobacco and alcohol products cannot be purchased on the scheme.
What’s included
Bills are included in all of our accommodation, including heating, electricity, water and WI-FI. Please note, if you are bringing a TV you will need to purchase your own TV Licence. Kitchens come equipped with cooking equipment but you will need to bring your own pots and pans etc. More information on what to pack can be found here. Included in the price of accommodation is insurance, you will be provided with the information of the insurance in your welcome pack when you move in.
IT support is available should the need arise, simply log your issue using the online Helpdesk system. Likewise, a wide range of wellbeing and out of hours support is available alongside the support offered during the working week.
