Task 2 – REFERENCING
To learn to reference correctly using the APA referencing format. Please use the referencing guide (on learning space) to help you
(a) Using two published journal articles, related to SEN or disability, skim through and locate places where referencing has been used.
Do the same for two books.
Record the similarities and differences.
(b) What is the key information needed for:
(i) a book
(ii) a journal article
(a) 1, British journal of special education 2, Down syndrome research and practice
I found the similarities for a book and Journal referencing are that immediately after a reference is used there is a small bracket of details saying one Author name, book title, date, then at the end of an article or book you can find a more detailed list of information of exactly where to find the reference, ie, All authors that contributed to article, page number, ect.
Referencing has been used to show evidence collected after investigating studies.
(b) The key information needed for
(I) a Book is,
* Author, (Surname first)
*Book title
*Date published
*Page number
*Publisher
