Useful Academic Resources

These are the different resources that I have used over the course of my first year to help me with my acedemic work. I have also included websites to help with learning the courses content:

Teach Me Anatomy –  This website has helped me this year as it has all anatomical feartures, split up into the different parts on the body. As well as, spliting each part up into bones and muscles.

Physiopedia – This website is somewhere that you can easily look up anything to do with the course, it would then give you the information related to the word or phase that was searched.

KenHub – This is a website that is useful for revision as you watch a video on each anatomical structure, including, individual parts of the body, bones and joints. You can then take a quiz too see how much you know and remember.

Phrasebank – Is a part of the University of Manchester learning resources that help you to find different words and phrases to improve your academic work and how to get your point across.

Mendeley – Is a referencing software that you can use to store all books and journal articles that you have used in your academic writing so if needs be you are able to go back and search for articles that could be realavent in future assignments.

Studiosity – This website is where you are able to submit your academic work and get feedback on it, before submitting it to the University to be marked.

Marjon APA Refrencing Guide – This is a PDF that helps to understand the APA referencing system, and teaches and shows how to cite properly depending if the resource is a book, journal article etc.

Google Scholar – This is a website that can be used to find journal articles and books that can be used as refernces, as they are all academic writing. You can also cite articles and books directly off the website on to your document.

Critical Thinking – This is a web page from The University of Edinburgh to help to develop critical writing and thinking which can help to build academic writting.

Writing Academicaly – This is a web page from the university of Reading where it helps to improve your academic writing. Including how to structure your work and communicating through the academic work clearly.
