Job Title: Outreach and Recruitment Assistant

Role Description: The Student Recruitment and Admissions department is a dynamic, thriving and crucial area of the University with periods throughout the year of high intensity. A proactive and enthusiastic individual is required to join the Outreach Events Team.

Under the direction of the Outreach and Recruitment Officers and the Outreach Events Team Leader and as a member of the team, you will contribute to the delivery of a customer focused, cost effective and efficient outreach and student recruitment service.

You will respond to enquiries assisting potential students and those who influence them in making a well-informed choice of university and programme.

You will develop and maintain a defined area of expertise in relation to outreach and student recruitment events, activities and initiatives while also developing and maintaining a breadth of skill to support flexible deployment as required.

You will liaise with colleagues across the University and build relationships with external stakeholders

This is a part-time posting working 29.6 hours per week on a permanent basis.

Job Title: Activities Manager

Role Description: Plymouth Life Centre is one of the UK’s leading Sports and Leisure Facilities, the centre sees more than 1.4 million visits per year and is rated Outstanding by Quest. We are looking for a qualified individual to assist with the management of courses and delivery of development programmes in a wide range of sports and projects. The successful candidate will have a recognised UKCC Level 2 coaching qualification. You will need a can-do attitude and be able and willing to get involved with all levels of programme delivery, from covering coaching sessions and setting up equipment, representing the centre at meetings with clubs and societies, through to planning and organising courses and events. You will need excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation. While this is initially a part-time role, there is scope to develop the post into a full-time Sports Development
position over the next 12 months. The hours are flexible, but candidates must be aware that the majority of coaching courses occur after school and at the weekend, so a reasonable proportion of evening and weekend work is to be expected.

Role Description: Following a successful application to the Big Lottery Fund, we are seeking a youth worker on a part time basis, to lead a new series of youth sessions over 16 weeks, working with young women between the ages of 12 to 16 years old. The aims of the sessions will be to help participants explore alternative career pathways, and support them to take tangible steps to achieve their goals in addition to providing pastoral care for the group. The project will have a creative media element and outcomes. You will work alongside one of Fotonow’s media practitioners during sessions and one project outcome is to create a media campaign about workplace gender issues. The project is also expected to run a series of youth sessions with inspiring female role models visiting the group.

Job Title:Event Photographer
