Hi,

There are a few blogs and pages that have both inspired me and ones that I have learned from, in my journey to become a successful sports therapist.  I thought today I would give you my top 5 in the hope that they are able to help you in the way that they have helped me.

  1. Performance sports therapy– This first blog was one I discovered when looking for ideas of content that I wanted to create for my own blog. I found this blog to be not too intense and an easy read, which I wanted to mirror when creating posts for my own blog. Although not all of the content is specifically sports therapy, the post that is related are a very interesting read, and it is nice to see that it has been contextualized to a specific sport, as well as giving her own perspective from different events.  As well the use of media has also meant that it really does create a very nice blog to read, that I find relatable.

2.  Maximize sports therapy-  I have really enjoyed reading this blog, as it really focuses on showing some of the experiences of being a sports therapist as well, looking typical sport therapy subjects such as injury preventions. This blog has used media very well by including lots of pictures in order to capture an audience. One post in particular where this has been used well is a post about one of their therapists being able to go to the most recent Paralympic games. Reading and seeing the experiences that she had, has helped me become more passionate about wanting to become a sports therapist.

3.  Pulse Sports Therapy services-This page has been particularly helpful to me when growing to become a sports therapist. This page has an injury index which gives details of the main common injuries, from the ankle to the elbow and much more. This has been useful to look through.  This page has also helped me to develop my own blog, and looking through it, has helped me both creatively and contextually discover what would be effective in my own blog.

4.  Cs Sports Therapy-  This page has been very useful to me when looking a sports therapy as a business. As I have not yet experienced a professional external company in the sports therapy field, I had found this very useful in furthering and being enabled to learn about for example the pricing and the marketing your own sports therapy business.  By looking through the about me page, it allowed me to discover the qualifications that can be revived in order to further my own career, by looking at the associations that they are involved with.   It is also valuable to look at what working hours they are doing as well as how much they charge, which has given me a perspective.

5-  Kinesis Uk-   This last page, is a page that I have been reading, which is based around kineso taping. One of the main reasons that I have found this page so useful, is the research page that is there. I have been looking through a few of the articles that have been put here. They look at case studies and controlled group trials. I have found that I wanted to further my knowledge in kineso taping, as I felt it was not my strongest suit. So by reading through a few of these journals and articles, it has allowed me to grow in my knowledge.
