It is almost that time of the year again: the air is cold, December in looming and your Aunty Janice has already decorated her house from top to bottom. That’s right! It’s the end of November and Plymouth is starting to look a little more festive with the addition of the annual Christmas market which will open today.
Shopping:
If you are anything like me, the thought of Christmas shopping hasn’t even entered your mind yet. But with just 26 days left till Crimbo, it might be worth a minute of your time. This year’s market has a variety of gifts for sale with children’s books, hand crafted wooden furniture, sparkling jewellery and local art being just come of the items for sale. You will be sure to find something for those tricky family members and friends.
Food and drink:
There will be an abundance of yummy festive treats to get your teeth into at this years market. Pizza cones, Yorkshire pudding wraps and Nutella doughnuts are just some of the food this year’s market has on offer. A couple food stall have been open early this week to give us Janner’s a taster as to what’s to come. And what could be better than grabbing a warming drink on a crisp winters evening? Whether you love a cup of mulled wine or prefer a sweet hot chocolate, you will find something that tickles your taste buds at one of these cosy huts.
If you head down to this year’s market tweet us a pic @JaM_at_Marjon #christmasmarket.
