Plymouth Argyle manager Ryan Lowe, along with his assistant manager and right-hand man Steven Schumacher, have both committed their future to the Pilgrims, signing new contracts that will keep them at the club until 2024.
Lowe, who has seemingly become a popular figure amongst the Green Army, came to Argyle at the beginning of the 2019/20 season with his backroom staff – Schumacher, Strength and Conditioning Coach John Lucas and Performance Analyst Jimmy Dickinson – implementing their unique and attractive style of play and instantly secured promotion to Sky Bet League One.
The Greens have had a successful run under the influence of Lowe and his team over the past 20 months, with efforts on and off the pitch ensuring that the club is on the way up in every way it can be.
Lowe said: “I am delighted to have signed a long-term contract with Plymouth Argyle, and I’m excited to continue the project we’ve started together.
“We fit well together- this is an ambitious club, and I am an ambitious manager. I would like to thank Andrew Parkinson, the Board of Directors and Simon Hallett for making it happen.
“It was a no brainer for us, and we’ve loved every minute of it.
Across the managing staff, Board of Directors, Chairman Simon Hallett and Chief Executive Officer Andrew Parkinson, the club is aiming to achieve the five-year objective that was set out early last year. The ambition is for Argyle to become a sustainable Championship football club, and it is fair to say that Lowe and Schumacher committing themselves for the next three years is certainly a step in the right direction.
Parkinson said: “We are delighted to be able to agree contract extensions for Ryan and Steven.
“Their personal qualities align with those we wish to be associated with the club, and they both hold ambition that matches our own.”
Here’s to three more successful years at Home Park.
