Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have said they expect a tough challenge ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Seven-time world champion Hamilton spoke about the weather conditions and the thrill he feels when being back in America. He said: “This is probably the coldest race we’ve done in a long time, and we are going to have to evolve to a new track and its conditions.”
Russell also said the cold night race will create a “wild” weekend. He said: “There’s many challenges that await the drivers.” Hamilton also added: “We’re normally in hotter climates.” The worry of the unknown left both drivers unsure and Russell exhilarated to how the tyres would perform with the “engines also running much colder”.
