England’s Alex Mitchell ruled out of Scotland match with knee injury
The England scrum half Alex Mitchell will miss out on Saturdays match against Scotland after suffering from a knee injury.
England have confirmed they are devasted that Mitchell will miss the critical game against Scotland in round three of the Guinness Six Nations due to an injury that requires further investigation before a date can be confirmed for his return.
The loss of the scrum-half, who scored a try in the opening win over Italy in Rome, has started in the victory against Wales in Twickenham and overall has been excellent in the last few months, has become upsetting news for the England squad and fans. Fans take to twitter to wish Mitchell their condolences “sending positive thoughts to England and Alex Mitchell”.
Mitchell is set to be replaced by either Ben Spencer or Danny Care for the Calcutta cup at Murrayfield. While Bristol scrum-half Harry Randall has been called up for cover. So, no Mitchell but England do show to have some positive back-ups options for the round three game against Scotland at Murrayfield.
