THE Pilgrims are 16 games into their Sky Bet League Two season and manager Ryan Lowe believes a win over Grimsby Town today will have us back on track for the campaign.
The story for Argyle has followed a similar pattern to Ryan’s team last season and the Shakers ended up winning promotion.
“We’re on track from where my team was last season, we’re there again,” said Ryan. “If we tally them points up, then there’s two league games left for us to be on track and if we get on track, I’ll be happy.
“We then go away to Bolton in the FA Cup, which will take our minds of the league a little bit, it’ll be nice.
“I don’t want to keep talking about Bury and what we done last season because it’s irrelevant but, if it wasn’t Bury, we would be talking about someone in the same category as us, someone who has played 16 games and on 23 points, where did they end up and how did they get there.
“Of course, you have got to put comparisons together and, if we get to a point that takes us to the comparison that we had last season, then I will be a happy man.”
The Pilgrims v Mariners will kick-off at 3pm today and a massive chance for Argyle to build momentum in the league.
