Taking bookings and acting as the first form of communication for customers and clubs who use the facility. Communication is mostly made via email; however, many meetings need to be made face to face. Good communication and listening skills are vital when speaking with members of the public wishing to book spaces or rooms at the facility. Also included in this is communication with staff where rotas and shifts need to be created to suit everyone.

Waitressing at local tapas restaurant. Responsibilities included taking orders, bringing food to tables, working behind the bar, receiving payments, making desserts and kitchen porter work.

June 2017

Working in the kitchens at The Barn Owl as a chef. This included working with alongside the head chef and other various members of the kitchen staff to help prepare and serve meals to the member of the public.

 

 

  • Sports Centre assistant at Coombeshead Academy Sports Centre.

September 2016 – September 2017

Responsibilities included opening the sports centre and activating/deactivating the security alarms, being trusted as a key holder for the facility, setting up equipment for each club and using good time management skills to know when the next club it about to leave/arrive and be prepared for the next. A friendly manner and appearance will always be maintained when speaking with customers as they arrive at the facility.
