Helpful Websites/Blogs

Below are 5 websites and blogs that have inspired and aided me during my first year of university;

https://www.brightonsportstherapy.co.uk/blog-page – The Brighton sports therapy blog is a website that was recommended to me by another student. The website is regularly updated with content both regarding the treatment and prevention of injuries. As well as this, it is also updated with job opportunities which is good to look at so I can get an idea of my future career path.

https://www.theratape.com/education-center/kinesiology-taping-blog/ – The Kinesiology Taping Blog is something I use regularly, as K-Taping is often mentioned or requested by my patients. I use this website both to update my knowledge of the technique of applying the tape, and any research around taping. I also sometimes refer my patients to this website so they can learn more about taping and its effects.

https://complete-physio.co.uk/blog/ – This is a blog which contains a variety of information regarding types of injury, injury prevention and injury treatment. This is a good resource for further reading.

https://mikereinold.com/blog/ – Mike Reinolds blog page is regularly updated with injury treatment tips and articles and videos. He also has a podcast in which he discusses a variety of topics regarding sports therapy which makes an interesting listen when you have free time.

https://www.parklaneclinic.co.uk/wordpress/ – This is a website ran by a former Marjon graduate. He now has his own clinic in Plymouth and is doing well. This page inspires me as it is the career path I would like to follow. I follow his page on social media, and have planned to book in for a session with him over the summer to discuss what he did following leaving Marjon.
