Donald Trump has not only lost the election, but he might have also lost his wife as well.
Trump’s ex-political adviser Omarosa Manigault Newman, said the couple’s relationship was over and Melania was simply waiting for the President to lose power before leaving him. She also told TV show host Lorraine Kelly that Melania was ‘repulsed’ by her husband and they had a ‘very strange marriage’.
In Newman’s book, Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House, she wrote “In my opinion, Melania is counting every minute until he is out of office and she can divorce him.” She added: “If Melania were to try to pull the ultimate humiliation and leave him while he’s in office, he would find a way to punish her.” Or even potentially try to revoke his wife’s citizenship.
The Slovene-American ex-model, Melania Trump, on the other hand, accuses the former aide of ‘lashing out’ and says she hardly knew her “It’s disappointing to her that she is lashing out and retaliating in such a self-serving way, especially after all the opportunities given to her by the President.”
Sarah Sanders, Donald Trump’s former press secretary said Newman’s book was ‘riddled with lies and false accusations’.
Videos and pictures, however, would suggest otherwise, appearing to show the First Lady snubbing, and repeatedly brushing off her husband whenever he moves to hold her hand.
Mrs Trump’s past aid, Stephanie Wolkoff, suggested she is already negotiating a post-nuptial agreement to give her son Barron, an equal share of Trump’s fortune.
Even Donald Trump himself, described their relationship as “business-like”. It was also reported that the couple had separate bedrooms during their time in the White House as they agreed their marriage was “transactional”.
